|Update Tuesday 21 December 2021
The shipment of tables and equipment arrived mid afternoon on Monday 20 December. I spent Monday afternoon and evening unpacking the equipment and assembling tables.
Unfortunately, it appears a number of the Outdoor tables were damaged in transit, with small scratches on the playing surface. The Smart 18 Roller and D99-5 tables that I have checked so far have all been OK, but I have only checked half of them as of Tuesday night. I don’t expect any problems with them though, they are normally packed for transit very safely.
I will finish checking and assembling the tables tomorrow (Wed 22 December), at which point I will start contacting people on the waiting lists to let them know the tables are available. For those people wanting home delivery, I will try to give priority to those people who were hoping to have a table for Christmas, although obviously it will be difficult to get tables out to everybody given their late arrival. For those people who wanted a table for Christmas, if we are unable to get your table to you in time for Christmas Day and you wish to cancel your place on the waitlist, I understand and it is not a problem. I can only apologise, this shipment was originally planned to get here for early November, so it has been a frustrating month and a half of waiting.
My delivery person is having next week off from his day job, so we should be able to get a number of tables delivered next week to those people who didn’t need it for Christmas.
In regards to the damaged Outdoor tables, those people who have been allocated a table that has turned out to be damaged will be offered the choice of purchasing the table at a discount, or waiting for a table from the next shipment (assuming there are tables available). The scratches are not all that large (smaller than a 1c coin), but of course not everybody wants a scratched table, even at a discount.
I will be ordering more tables once I clear some storage space (probably late December), but I will need to check with my supplier to see what tables he has available at the time. As you can imagine the demand for tables is also high in Melbourne at the moment, so the numbers of tables available may be limited. I will update the website when I know more about what tables will be coming in the next shipment.
